In the chapel of St. Job the Long-suffering has been held prayer for the new year.

On January 1, 2012, convicted inmates serving for hausehold of Kyiv remand prison have met a priest to celebrate the coming new year 2012. In the club Fr. Constantine Panteley prepared a theme for discussion to present the meaning of time limits imposed by the Creator from time immemorial as a change of days, months and years. They have talked about the meaning and completeness of short human life, to realize that God is calling us for that. Thus, in the chapel of St. Job the Long-suffering has been held prayer for the new year, which featured expressions of gratitude for the past year and hope for God's blessings of the coming 2012.

On that very day, Fr. Constantine gave Christmas gifts to minors imprisoned on behalf of goodwill gentleman who wished to remain anonymous: icons depicting Jesus Christ our Lord, the Blessed Virgin Maryand and St. Nicholas, sweets and tangerines. Words of greetings and goodwill for young men sounded from the lips of Alexander Savchenko, deputy of chief of prison in matters of social, educational and psychological work, who always assists for visiting prisoners by members of religious and civic organizations.

Starting from 2008, staff of social-educational and psychological workers here increased for 7 people. On the shoulders of those workers is social, educational and psychological work with all our fellow citizens who for various circumstances, found himself behind bars. Increase of staff of psychologists and social workers in remand prisons of Ukraine, which is observed from 2008, is the result of petitions and appeals of spokespersons of many public institutions as well as of the Office for prison pastoral care of the UGCC.
